Please?
I wish I bruised so well.
You’re always welcome to do whatever you want to your body, but a few words on BDSM and health:
This is unhealthy. As a somewhat experienced sadist, I feel compelled to bring up this fact because many people who are either novices or inexperienced assume that this is the goal of sadomasochism. It’s not, unless you understand that this is unhealthy and want to do it anyway. Leaving marks like this is a sign of serious trauma to capillaries and nerves in your skin. Your skin is an organ, just like your heart or liver, or kidneys. It need to be taken care of and protected. Repetitively leaving marks and bruises on someone’s skin can cause many problems, such as “leather butt,” a skin condition caused by trauma to the skin which forms calluses and keratinizes the area. This means that your skin loses sensitivity or even goes completely numb due to nerve damage. People who enjoy intense whipping, flogging, or paddling are highly prone to this condition.
Safe practices include paddling/flogging/whipping for no more than 15-20 minutes at a time, stopping before the skin becomes swollen or “sticky” (when capillaries break, your skin get red and releases a small amount of blood or sweat which can stick to a hand or paddle), “cooling down” after a spanking (this is my favorite part, use your fingertips or a tickler to soothe the area and stimulate blood flow in the skin), taking breaks in between sessions to allow the skin to repair, and switching up the intensity of your strokes when you’re paddling/flogging/spanking/whipping others.
Remember: Safe Sex doesn’t just mean wearing a condom!
